My name is Lynn Hargrove. I’m a Systems Engineer in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, retired from Occidental Petroleum. Most of my career work was done with Novell servers then Microsoft servers. My passion and favorite hobby since early in my carrier is working with computers. My first personal computer was an Atari 800. I now enjoy working mostly with Microsoft Windows computers but also with Apple Mac’s, Chromebooks and Linux. I have several Raspberry Pi’s and an Ubuntu/KVM home lab server running various virtual home automation and file servers.
I also enjoy a weekly round of golf, frequent bike rides and some travel. I am preparing for OK Freewheel which is a week-long bike ride across Oklahoma from Texas to Kansas. I’m also refining my Home Automation system using SmartThings/ActionTiles and a variety of smart devices. The technology changes fast enough for it to be an ongoing project.
My initial intent for this site was to document my activities to avoid “reinventing the wheel” as things broke or need improvement causing me to redo research. If my ramblings are of interest to anyone else, that’s great!
